Her Story

From first pony to full-time practice — a life built around horses.

Chapter One — The Beginning

A love that started before she could reach the stirrups.

Sophia found horses early. Long before ribbons and rated shows, there was a small girl, a patient pony, and the quiet certainty that this was the life she wanted.

Chapter Two — Heritage

Raised in the saddle.

Horses ran in the family. Her earliest lessons came from her mother — a foundation of trust, seat, and instinct that no textbook can teach.

Chapter Three — The Craft

Learning from the best in the sport.

Under the mentorship of Roberto Daza, Marcelo Barros, and Calil Yunis at WB Equestrian Center, Sophia refined her ride — from flatwork fundamentals to schooling through 1.40m.

Chapter Four — In the Ring

Competing through 1.20–1.25m.

Sophia has campaigned across Florida and at major out-of-state venues, competing through the 1.20–1.25m jumpers and schooling through 1.40m. Every mile in the ring informs the way she teaches — grounded, honest, and always about the horse first.

Chapter Five — The Work Today

Building real partnerships, one ride at a time.

Now leading her own independent practice as a USEF Member and USEF Safe Sport Trained trainer, Sophia works with riders at every level — from first-timers finding their seat to competitive teams chasing bigger jumps — and horses from green prospects to seasoned campaigners across Seminole County. She is also a USHJA Active Member and CPR & First Aid Certified. Patience over pressure. Structure over shortcuts. A long-term view of every horse and rider.
